CLASSIFICATIONS: E90T1-K2C per AWS A5.29, ASME SFA 5.29

Select 91-K2 is a low alloy steel, gas-shielded, flux cored wire intended for welding where a 90,000 psi minimum tensile strength is required. This electrode is designed for single and multiple pass welding of horizontal fillets and flat position weldments of certain low alloy steels.

APPLICATIONS:Select 91-K2 is well suited for steels such as HY-80, Hy-100, ASTM A710, A514 and other similar high strength, low alloy steels. Typical welding uses involve the fabrication of offshore platforms and leg assemblies, earthmoving machinery and specialized structural applications.

DIAMETERS: 1/16”, 5/64”, 3/32”

SHIELDING GAS: 100% CO2, 35-50 cfh

WELDING POSITIONS: Flat and Horizontal

CHARACTERISTICS:

  • Provides high tensile strength.
  • Offers good CVN toughness.
  • Produces smooth arc transfer and rippled bead profile.
  • Thin slag coverage removes easily.
